Dr. Ahmad Aloqaily, appointed as the Director of the National Information Centre for Science and Technology, is poised to lead the center’s strategic initiatives in data-driven decision-making, national-level data governance, and innovative AI analytics. Holding a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Technology Sydney, Australia (2012), Dr. Aloqaily brings extensive expertise in big data analysis, data engineering, AI model development, and advanced analytics to this pivotal role.

Prior to his current appointment, Dr. Aloqaily served as Vice Dean of the Deanship of Academic Development and International Outreach at the Hashemite University. He also held leadership positions as the Head of both the Information Technology and Computer Science departments, where he managed academic programs in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Business Information Technology. Among his notable contributions is his work on ABET accreditation, ensuring the highest educational standards for computer science and information systems programs.

With over 12 years of research experience, Dr. Aloqaily’s portfolio includes significant contributions to sentiment analysis, web usage mining, natural language processing, cybersecurity, and evolutionary computation. He has applied advanced AI and machine learning techniques to solve complex problems and deliver actionable insights across diverse domains. His collaborative efforts have resulted in groundbreaking research, including international studies on genetic mutations that have advanced bioinformatics and healthcare.

Dr. Aloqaily has secured numerous local and international research grants and actively contributes to academic and professional communities. He serves as a reviewer, a board member of the Jordan Computer Society, and a member of the Australian Computer Society.

As Director of the National Information Centre for Science and Technology, Dr. Aloqaily is committed to leveraging data science, AI, and informatics to drive innovation, foster collaboration, and support informed decision-making on national and global levels.
